 Powertrains and Hybrid Technologies
The 2022 Escape has a choice of hybrid or plug-in hybrid* with a 2.5L iVCT Atkinson-cycle I-4 hybrid engine. A 1.5L EcoBoost® and the 2.0L EcoBoost with Auto Start-Stop Technology are the available gas engines.

 Selectable Drive Modes

Once selected, each one of these driving modes can modify the electronic stability control system and traction control system without you having to do anything.
Towing Capability
When equipped with the Class II Trailer Tow Package, Escape Titanium and SEL with the available 2.0L EcoBoost® engine have a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. and Escape Hybrid or Escape Plug-in Hybrid* with the 2.5L iVCT Atkinson-cycle hybrid engine have a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 lbs. The standard 1.5L EcoBoost® engine, when properly equipped, can tow up to 2,000 lbs. **

Active Park Assist 2.0
